Lucy Maud Montgomery was born on the 30th of  November 1874 in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She was a writer from Canada renowned for the Anne of Green Gables trilogy, which began in 1908. The novel was an instant success. She wrote 20 novels, 530 short stories, 30 articles and 500 poems. Furthermore, in 1935, she appointed as an officer of the British Empire. Moreover, academics and people all across the globe have examined and analyzed Montgomery’s writings, journals, and letters.

Montgomery enrolled at Prince of Wales College in 1893 in Charlottetown to pursue a teaching licence. Montgomery finished Charlottetown’s two-year teaching programme in just one year. She then attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1895 and study literature.

Montgomery served as a lecturer in several Prince Edward Island institutions after graduating from Dalhousie. Her stories first appeared in journals and newspapers in 1897. Montgomery was a talented writer who wrote over 100 pieces from 1897 to 1907. Montgomery had several love affairs throughout her career as a teacher. She was a stylish young lady with a slim, beautiful appearance who caught the eye of numerous young guys. In addition, she served as a replacement checker in Halifax for the newspapers Morning Chronicle and The Daily Echo.

Montgomery passed away in her bed in Toronto on the 24th of April 1942. Her autopsy report listed coronary thrombosis as the leading cause of mortality.
