Bram Stoker was born on the 8th of November 1847. He was a writer from Ireland well recognized for his Horror genre book Dracula, published in 1897. In his life, Bram Stoker mainly remembered for Sir Henry Irving’s assistant as well as the manager of a Theatre called Lyceum, that Irving founded.

He schooled at the Reverend’s private school. He went to Trinity College, Dublin, where he excelled in athletics between 1864 till 1870. In 1870, he completed his BA, and in 1875, he completed his MA. Although he later acknowledged being a graduate in mathematics honours. He was designated University Athlete after competing in a variety of sports, particularly football for Dublin University. He served as an auditor of College Historical Society and leader of University Philosophical Society, making him the first and last student in college’s history to serve at both posts.

Stoker authored the fiction “Crystal Cup” in 1872, following The Chain of Destiny in 4 parts.  When working as a government employee in Dublin in 1876, Stoker authored the book called The Duties of Clerks of Petty Sessions in Ireland, has considered a classic work. In addition, he was a founding member of the Dublin Sketching Club as a result of his passion for art.

Stoker had been a fellow of The London Library, where he did most of his study for Dracula. The Library found several of Stoker’s study volumes, replete with markings and diary entries in 2018.
